Gali Story

Gali's* Story:

Gali was born in Ethiopia and made Aliyah (immigrated to Israel) several years ago. She is now 28. She is not married but is pregnant. The father has no involvement.

She is totally on her own in Israel and works 12 hours a day to support herself. She has attempted suicide twice, rather than abort her baby.

After working with Be’ad Chaim and obtaining both emotional care and physical help, she is now back on her feet and is looking forward to the birth of her baby, who is due in August, 2008!

Update: Batel (daughter of God) was born on August 19, 2008. She is a healthy and well-loved little girl. Her mother told us joyfully at the hospital that she is sure that Batel is a gift to her from God. She is no longer suicidal and is a loving and responsible mother to her little one.

Gali still attends the monthly meetings at our office that provide parenting coaching and peer support. She brought her baby in for some photos just days before her first birthday. See photos below.
