Dear Friends of Be'ad Chaim,

It is my pleasure to introduce you to some of the newest and youngest arrivals to the Be'ad Chaim family. Baby “Or” ( meaning 'light') was born just two weeks ago weighing only ONE AND A HALF KILOS ( about 3 lbs.4 oz). Her mother gave birth to this wonderful bundle after only 26 weeks of pregnancy. “Or” , the delight of her young single mother and her grandmother, is doing very well and will be coming home from the hospital next week.

Beautiful baby “Michaela” (meaning 'who is like the Lord') is now 6 weeks old. Her mother had called a Be'ad Chaim counselor last May asking for help to get an abortion because her boyfriend had left her and she felt all alone. After several conversations, she decided to keep her baby. In the middle of December, our doula (birth coach) assisted during the birth of this now dearly beloved baby Michaela.

In the south of the country, baby Rinat is now nearly 4 months old, cooing, giggling and laughing to the delight of her mother and father. She is the precious daughter of 19 year old “N” about whom I wrote in the November newsletter. Today, “N” phoned to share all of the wonderful things that God is doing in her life.

These are just a few of the wonderful lives that have been saved this past year. All together,six babies were born in Jerusalem, three in Tiberius, five in Beer Sheva, and three in the Kriyot . We joyfully await the birth of more babies with four women pregnant in Jerusalem, three in Beer Sheva, one in . ....Tiberius and one in the Kriyot.

Another birth announcement : Operation Moses began this week with our first two deliveries !! Both baby Or and baby Michaela received huge love packages. The deliveries included many items including baby bed and changing table, stroller, car seat, bath tub, diapers, creams, food gifts and much more.
