Ahuva's* story

 Ahuva has been living in one of the central beach cities of Israel. Her mother passed away several years ago and her father was not supportive. Ahuva, feeling alone and rejected, chose to make a living entertaining men at nightclubs. When we met her, at the beginning of her pregnancy, she was brazen, yet deeply needy. Ahuva had already had many abortions and seemed to have very little self-respect. Our prayer teams have prayed for her often. We have seen God do amazing things. First, she chose to keep her child, then she slowly left various aspects of her work and has now entirely abandoned her old lifestyle and is living with her father in another city. She is slowly opening her heart to God’s love – it is as though we can see the “ice melting”. Please pray that her life will be entirely transformed and that she will find true freedom. Her baby is due in the winter of 2010. Update: Good news! Ahuva’s beautiful baby girl Shelly was born on February 10th. Her mother has made an amazing turnaround and is a doting and protective mom. Shelly is featured as the December 2010 child in our new calendar.
