Ofir With Baby Girl Liel

Jun 18, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Ofir is married and has 3 children- ages five, one year, and now the newborn Liel.

This was a very interesting year for Ofir and her family, a year full of surprises. When Eliyah her older son was only 2 months old, Ofir discovered she was pregnant again. At first she was devastated but then she really accepted the pregnancy as a gift from God. She and her husband had done all they could to avoid getting pregnant again so she saw it as a miracle. The whole family were also very happy and supportive, and all very excited because it’s their first girl.

With all the excitement Ofir and her husband knew they would really struggle to cope with having to support another child.  They were already in a very difficult financial situation. Ofir knew about Be’ad Chaim, as we had helped her with her second son Eliyah. So once again she turned to us for help. It was through your very generous sponsorship Ofir was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her baby and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials that her baby would need.

Ofir gave birth to her lovely little girl on the 8th March 2019. Her beautiful daughter was born on Ofir’s birthday and little Eliyah’s 1st birthday! It was a big day, 3 of them on the same day! Both Ofir and Little Liel have recovered and are doing well.

Ofir shared that it wasn’t easy to be pregnant during the first year of your child’s life, but she has done it and now it’s over. On the first day after coming back from the hospital Ofir cried a lot and didn’t know how she was going to deal with 2 babies, it was as if they were twins. But then she decided to look on the bright side of things, trying to take things lightly, a day at a time. She seems very happy and hopeful.

Ofir Is currently a stay home mum, and happy to be able to take care of Liel and her older brother. Her husband is supportive of this too. Daycare is very expensive in Israel, if Ofir did send both the children her salary wouldn’t even be able to cover it all.

Ofir’s husband opened his own “car wash” company. Please pray that he will have enough work and will be able to provide for his family. Ofir is receiving childbirth allowance because she had 2 children in such a short space of time.

Ofir is very grateful for all the love and support she has received from Be’ad Chaim and her donor. It really made such a huge difference to their situation. She doesn’t know what they would have done without this support.

Thank you very much for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Ofir and her family.
