Bar- Asaf

Oct 17, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Precious Asaf celebrated his first birthday on the 31st of July 2019. He is a sweet and beautiful boy who is developing and growing well.  He is crawling and also able to stand, and looks like he will soon be walking. As we have shared in the previous update, Asaf was born with a SVT heart problem. Since then he has been through many checks and was having to be on regular medication. The doctors are still not sure if this condition will only be something that erupts once or twice in his life or whether it is more serious and something he will have to deal with for the rest of his life. At the last appointment, the doctor said it looked like a 50/50 chance. Little Asaf is now off the medication. Please pray for full healing and restoration for his little heart.

Bar has been home with Asaf until now because of his heart condition. Now he is off his medication she is really hoping to find a place for him in daycare, but as the new school year has started most places are full.

Please pray for Asaf, he seems healthy and has a good weight but he refuses to eat solid food, only very specific things that are usually not healthy for him. Pray that his condition does not develop into being life long.

This wasn’t an easy year for Bar. She started a new relationship and was full of hope that finally things would work out for her. Unfortunately, recently she and her partner have separated. He didn’t want their son from the beginning and it was a big struggle. Now she needs to move out of their apartment. This is putting a lot of pressure on Bar as she does not have the money or help to be able to do that.

Bar is hoping to turn to our welfare system to get help paying her rent, but this can sometimes take a long time to process. Please pray for favor for her, for the Lord to truly shine upon her in her situation, so she can see that there is hope in Him. Pray that she will meet the Lord in a personal way and that the Lord will comfort and counsel her during this challenging time in her life.

Bar’s family lives close by but they are not able to help. Her mother has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is having to have surgery very soon.

Your help and support have been deeply appreciated by Bar. She is so very grateful for all that she and her son have received over this past year, it really made a huge impact and real difference to her situation.

Thank you so very much for enabling Bar to be part of the Operation Moses Project, and for praying for her and her family throughout this year.
