Gilat With her twins Oren & Elad

Jun 18, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Gilat is a lovely Arab Israeli woman. She is happily married and has 6 children, the oldest one is 15 and the youngest is 6 years old. They live in an apartment subsidized by the government so they pay a very low rent.

When Gilat and her husband realized that she was pregnant again they were very happy despite all their financial needs and struggles, but  what they didn’t know at first was that  she was pregnant with twins.  This  came as a big surprise to both of them. They were really worried that they would not be able to provide for two more children.

One of Gilat’s friends told her about Be’ad Chaim, and as soon as she made contact with one of our wonderful counselors and shared their situation we were very happy to help and support them. Through your very generous sponsorship Gilat was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her babies, including a twin stroller,  and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy other essentials that her babies would need.

On the 13th May 2019, in week 37 Gilat gave birth to two precious little boys. They named them Oren and Elad. It was a C-section, and praise God everything went well and both twins were born healthy. They have been released from hospital and the whole family is now slowly getting adjusted to having newborn twins added to the family.

Gilat is so grateful for her oldest daughter who is very helpful with the newborn twins and also with chores around the house.

Gilat and her husband are so deeply grateful for all the help they have received from people that did not even know them. Gilat shared that normally the only people she would ask help from would be her family. In the past her father used to help them but now he is no longer able to. This help was very significant for them, and really made a huge difference.

Thank you very  much for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Gilat and her family.
