Sandy's Devotional

*   Great peace have those who love Your Law and nothing can cause them to stumble. (Psalm 119:165)
*   You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. (Isaiah 26:3)

Peace is the absence of turmoil and confusion in our hearts. When we set our hearts on God’s Word, looking to Him, we can become free from the bondage of guilt, shame, fear, bitterness and condemnation. Our hearts are at rest, finding true peace. When we take our focus off the Lord, we can easily be trapped and entangled with the worries of the world, but focusing on Him will keep us in His perfect peace. Sometimes, it takes work and practice to take our minds off our problems, but I encourage all of us, myself included, to keep our minds steadfast on Him – He Who is Our Peace. Shalom, shalom!
