Miriam - baby Shai

May 18, 2020 • By Be'ad Chaim

Miriam is a young mother, who is not married but lives with her partner and he helps her raise her toddler. She loves him very much!

When Miriam first had the responsibility of looking after her child, she found it very hard, having to learn new things all on her own.  However, she soon found she could organise her day and find a routine that helped her keep positive and manage to do all her chores as well as looking after her baby.

When Miriam and her partner found out she was pregnant, this was not exactly planned.  Thankfully her partner did not leave her, but it did bring some tension to their relationship, and they started arguing.  Miriam really wondered whether it would be better to have an abortion.  Miriam told me that her family does not help her with the kid at all.  In fact, she barely sees them, and she finds it very hard to be on her own without her family's support.

Miriam had contacted Be’ad Chaim when she was pregnant before, and she told me that the love and kindness that her counselor showed her captured her heart, made such a big difference, and she was so very thankful.  So once again she turned to us hoping we could help her save her baby gain.

It was then through your very generous support that Miriam was able to become part of the Operation Moses Project. This provided her with all the furniture she would need for her baby. plus monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essential things she would need for her baby. Miriam was again very touched by all the care and attention her counselor gave her and her family and to her donor who supported them through this very difficult and challenging time.

On the 16th of November 2019, she gave birth to a little baby boy and named him Shai. He is developing well and she said that it was a long delivery.

Miriam struggles with having to stay at home and really would like to return to work.  Her partner works at a supermarket and has long days, returning home late in the evening. They live in a small apartment in Kfar Saba and are doing their best to raise their two children together.

Miriam shared her deep appreciation for all the help and support she received during this very challenging season, it really made such a huge difference, and she is truly grateful.

Thank you for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Miriam and her family.
