Dear Partners,
Your perseverance in prayer for us matters! Time and time again, women call us desperate for an abortion, only to change their minds after a conversation with their counselor and MUCH PRAYER. I am deeply grateful for the thousands around the world who pray for the mothers and babies in Israel and support us in love and faithfulness.
Our counselors are dispersed through the country at nine different centers, from Haifa and Tiberias in the North to Eilat in the South, so our best way to communicate together is through our WhatsApp chat group. We often share prayer requests for urgent situations and later the exciting news of answered prayers.
Our Haifa counselor, Talia, shared this joyous message from a pregnant mom: I CHOSE LIFE. Talia’s response was “Hallelujah” and (as you can see in the image) “Hugs for you.” Talia wrote, “What a message! After a sea of conversations. I thank our heavenly Father.”
Miraculous changes of heart like this make our efforts worthwhile. May you be encouraged to know that as we partner together, we are saving lives! Blessings! Sandy

Dear precious donors, we want to express our deep gratitude for your important and precious contribution that helped us so much. There is NOTHING more precious than a baby who comes into the world!!! A soul who has come to fulfill her purpose in life through faith. You have had the privilege of being a part in her life. May this be counted as a blessing to you always. Thank you for everything—the bed, the bathtub, the stroller and everything else. With deep appreciation, the Cohen family.

“We are happy to give back. Both our boys were spared from abortion. Jesus supernaturally brought their mothers into our lives. Neither mother could raise their babies because of substance abuse issues, but they agreed not to abort if we would give their babies a good home. We were able to be at the hospital for their births and we stay in touch with the mothers and keep them in our prayers. We are very thankful for our miracle boys and want them to know the importance of helping others. Thank you for being part of our journey.”
Adoption is not a popular concept in Israel. When we offer the option of adoption to a pregnant mother in crisis, she is usually very offended and says that she would rather abort. Please pray with us that adoption would become a viable option in Israel so that lives would be saved from abortion.
We have all heard the saying: "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." Just after the Feast of Tabernacles holiday, we began our hairdressing course in Beer Sheva. Taught by a certified teacher, the ten-week course offers training in cuts, styling, coloring and more. Eight women registered and began their instruction, which includes the necessary tools of scissors, fans, sinks, etc. It is exciting for the women to be given this wonderful opportunity. At the end of the course, these women will receive a certificate enabling them to work in a hair salon or independently. We are deeply grateful to the big-hearted German instructor who is giving the women an opportunity to feed their families for a lifetime.

Our staff from around the country joined together on October 20th for a day of retraining and encouragement. Ali, a certified counselor, guided us in learning and dealing with the trauma experienced as counsellors, the trauma of dealing with broken women, and the trauma we have all felt after two years of war in our small country. Many of our team have had family members in the army and have known people who lost their lives. We were touched by Ali’s kindness and warmth and helped by her experience and wisdom.

Orli is only eighteen years old. She is a Christian Arab and lives alone in Haifa. When she told her Muslim boyfriend that she was pregnant, he said that he wasn’t willing to take any responsibility, pressured her to abort and abandoned her. Stressed and bewildered, Orli phoned the hotline for help. Our Arabic speaking counselor showed her kindness and supported her throughout the pregnancy. Orli gave birth to her lovely daughter Milon in August. With her mother’s help, she is nursing and tenderly caring for her child. Baby Milon, like all of the babies born to mothers with financial difficulties, was provided with a baby bed, stroller, bath tub, sheets and is receiving monthly gift cards to purchase baby necessities through our Operation Moses Project.

Michal is twenty-nine years old, a single mother, and had two children before giving birth to baby girl Tohar. She grew up in boarding schools and foster homes. Prior to her pregnancy with Tohar, she had a miscarriage which enabled doctors to discover her cervical cancer. Surgery was done, yet, remarkably, she became pregnant again. Her partner left her. Desperate and alone, her counselor became a stable pillar for her through the challenges of pregnancy. Baby Tohar (meaning “purity”) was born just a month ago and is healthy and beautiful. We are grateful for your prayers for Michal to be totally healthy and to know God’s love.

Dina, forty-two years old, lived with her parents and her four-year-old son. For a time, she lived with a partner, but when he heard that she was pregnant, he broke off the relationship. Raising two small children on her own was a frightening thought. While considering abortion, Dina phoned our hotline. The offer of practical, financial help with the new baby was the encouragement that Dina needed to choose life. Her son Elari was born in early September. “Elari” means “God is a lion,” a very powerful name, as we had just defeated Iran and were still at war with Hamas. May this child know the Lion of Judah.

Mazal, a thirty-three-year-old single mom, had two small children when she discovered her pregnancy. She had no support from a partner and thought that abortion was the best solution to the “problem” of pregnancy. Love broke through her fears. Thanks to generous donors, we provided a small bed for her toddler so the new baby could have the baby bed. We also provided her with a double stroller so the two little ones can ride side-by-side. Her son, Nitai, was born on September 10th and she says that “he is perfect.” Mazal is grateful that we care not only about the new baby, but also about her toddler and her family. The monthly vouchers pay for diapers and formula for the first year. This help is making an enormous difference to her and gives her security for the new baby. Mazal is full of joy that she made the right choice and now has precious Nitai in her arms.

Lizzy emigrated from Russia when she was a child and now lives near Haifa. She is married and had four children ages six, five, four and two. Her oldest son is now in first grade, the two others are in kindergarten, and her little daughter is at home. She doesn’t work outside the home, and her husband was made redundant, so their financial situation is dire. Their bank account has been frozen, and they have no support from their families. They are trying to pay rent and make ends meet while he looks for another job and their only income is his unemployment benefit.
When Lizzy discovered that she was in an unplanned pregnancy, she wanted to have an abortion, thinking it was her only option. Thankfully, she called our hotline, spoke to the counselor, received prayer (without knowing it), and chose life. Elbar, a good-sized, adorable little boy, was born in September and already brings smiles to his family.

The twins Yael and Michael celebrated their first birthday on August 28th. Kimi said that they have grown up quickly, enjoy being part of a large family and play well with their siblings. Kimi is a religious lady and now the mother of six children. She has been very busy this year taking care of her beautiful twins, but as in most religious families, all the children help each other and help their mother. Now the twins are starting to walk, so it’s a full-time job just keeping an eye on them. They each have four baby teeth and are eating mostly solid food, and especially enjoy mangoes and cookies! They are very happy children and love to walk in the park with their family. Kimi is a full-time mother. Her husband works, but his income is very low. Kimi doesn’t take anything for granted and is deeply appreciative for all of the help that Be’ad Chaim and our donors have given her, and for the peace of mind she could have, knowing that the basics for the twins were covered every month. It was such a huge blessing. She had everything she needed for the twins and she will always be grateful for all of the help!

Sheri was already twenty-three weeks pregnant when she turned to us for help, having seen one of our advertisements. When she became pregnant, she was living with her boyfriend at his mother’s house, and she was excited about becoming a mother. Over time, her partner said that he didn’t want the responsibility of being a father, broke off their relationship, and began to date another woman. Sheri had to move out and rent an apartment by herself. She was absolutely devastated. She considered having an abortion, even though she knew that God had given her this baby, and she wanted him. Her life is very hard, she works as a waitress in a wedding hall, and the work became much harder as her pregnancy progressed. Her parents aren’t speaking to her because she is pregnant outside of marriage. Despite all these obstacles, Sheri’s heart fell in love with the baby. Elari was born in August, and as Sheri holds him in her arms, she knows that this child is a gift from God and a ray of hope for her.
