October 2023 Newsletter

Oct 01, 2023 • By Sandy Shoshani

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

(2 Chronicles 7:14)

We rejoiced to see many people from the nations and the Body of Messiah in the Land of Israel, joined in prayer during the ten days from Rosh Hashanah to Yom Kippur, using our Daily Devotional for Life. On Friday, September 22nd, over a hundred prayerful, prolife believers gathered in the Gardens of Life for the National Prayer for Life event, to worship the God of Israel and pray for the protection of the unborn in our nation. We believe God’s promises that He will heal our nation from the pain of taking the lives of the unborn and forgive us for shedding their innocent blood on our Land. Thank you for standing in the gap with us for the lives of the unborn and believing with us that we will see an end to abortion in Israel. May God richly bless you,

Love has Saved Lives

We are amazed to see the miracle of baby after baby born into the Be’ad Chaim family. On an average, we see two births a day throughout the year. Every one of these precious little children is a reflection of Our Creator and Father. “Let the little ones come to Me, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14). In this newsletter, I’ll be giving you a short introduction to the lives of several of our babies who recently celebrated their first birthday. Each new mom was enrolled in the Operation Moses Project and received a baby bed, stroller, bath tub, and twelve monthly gift cards for the baby’s first year of life.

Laurel is #ONE

Baby Laurel was named in honor of our counselor Laurel, who showed abundant love and compassion to a special needs couple. Laurel shared: Perhaps you recall that a year ago I had a special needs couple who were not permitted to take their baby home. I tried calling them many times, to console them, but they didn’t answer.

The mother called me just now, to tell me that the baby celebrated her first birthday. She is named after me. She lives with a family in Jerusalem and the mother is permitted to visit her every two weeks. So very sad, but my prayers were for God’s best for the little girl.

Liam is #ONE

New mother Yana had immigrated to Israel from Russia and had a very good start. As a veterinarian, she had opened a business with her partner and was doing well. Sadly, just when she became pregnant, she discovered that he was unfaithful. The path to choosing life and giving birth to Liam was very rocky. Now, Yana calls Liam her greatest joy and is deeply grateful that she wisely and courageously chose life for him. Liam’s birth and life caused his father to reconnect and choose to protect and build his family. The couple will soon be married and are looking forward to a bright future together.

Noa is #ONE

Noa’s mother Haley is just eighteen years old. She was still in high school and felt embarrassed about the pregnancy. She chose to split up with her boyfriend whom she didn’t feel ready to marry. Through love and support, Haley decided to take a break from school and raise her child on her own with some help from her parents. She is looking forward to a successful future for herself and gorgeous daughter Noa.

Matanel is #ONE

His mother Bonnie has her hands full with Matanel’s older brother—only 11 months older. She says that the boys are growing up like twins who have entire conversations between themselves, which makes Bonnie and her husband laugh out loud. Bonnie found a job at a supermarket to help pay rent, and her husband collects disability payments. They’d appreciate your prayers for financial stability. Bonnie has depended on Be’ad Chaim’s help with diapers and other baby needs and is deeply grateful for the help.

Mior is #ONE

Mior’s mother Betty, only twenty-three years old, is very brave. She took the newborn Mior and her two-year-old sister, leaving her abusive and dangerous husband. She has chosen to remove her family from the father, who is a drug addict. Social workers have helped Betty place the girls in daycare. Betty has begun to rebuild her life now as a single parent.

Emanuelle is #ONE

Emanuelle just turned a year old and is a beauty! Her mother Kochi had been addicted to drugs, worked in prostitution, and was involved in the occult. Kochi hurts. She and her baby need your prayers to find God’s love, healing, and redemption.

Omer is #ONE

Omer’s mother, Batel, and his father married in high school when they discovered that she was pregnant during their final exams. They wondered what to do. The counseling from Be’ad Chaim gave them hope and a new perspective. Batel is home with Omer, and her husband recently found a good stable job. Batel is amazed at the blessings that she has in her life, with a caring husband and a darling baby boy who has brought so much joy.

THE OIL OF JOY FOR MOURNING

Abeba and her husband immigrated from Ethiopia. When Abeba found herself in an unplanned pregnancy, she was deeply troubled. She and her husband were still grieving the recent tragic death of their three-year-old son, David. It was very traumatic, as Abeba saw him run over by a car in front of her eyes. She found life very hard, and became quite depressed. Her husband struggled going back to work. She felt confused, but through the encouragement of friends and her Be’ad Chaim counselor, she realized that this new life was a gift from God. In April, her Daniel was born and has brought her joy beyond her imagination. This small package of new LIFE AND LOVE is like a soothing oil of joy on her grieving soul.

Miracle Babies Itai and Miley

Katrina, an unemployed, widowed mother with four children, called our hotline looking for help to abort her twins. After meeting our counselor Oxana and experiencing love and kindness, Katrina chose life for her son Itai and daughter Miley. Oxana called their birth a MIRACLE. Love triumphed over death.

Niki and Baby Boy El-Or

El-Or’s mother, Niki, was in the army when she became pregnant and thought that she had to abort. But when she had her first ultrasound, saw the fetus, and heard the heartbeat, she realized she could not give up on her baby. Now, things have worked out. She and her partner have rented an apartment together, and he’s working to provide for his new family.
