Orit With twins Meytal & Sarit

Jun 18, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Orit Goren is a lovely lady.  She was born in the former soviet union and emigrated to Israel many years ago. Orit is divorced but has no children from her marriage. Several years ago Orit decided to try and conceive from a sperm donor, she paid a lot of money and started the process. The first pregnancy started developing in the Fallopian tubes and the second pregnancy with twins started developing in a tendon. Both ended in a miscarriage. Orit was so devastated and disappointed. She had to wait another 6 months before she could try again.

Finally after going through the whole process, she got pregnant with twins once again.

Knowing she was going to be a single mother of twins she was desperate to find some help.  She found Be’ad Chaim on the internet and immediately contacted us, and we were very happy to help and support her during this very difficult but special time in her life. Through your very generous sponsorship Orit was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her babies and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials that her babies would need.

The pregnancy went well and on the 29th April Orit gave birth to two precious little girls, she named them Meytal (Meaning will shine light) & Sarit (Meaning please Lord). Orit lost a lot of blood and was very tired after the birth, but praise God she is feeling much better now.

It was a natural birth and at first everything seemed to go well. They were worried that  the older girl Meytal had jaundice and the younger one was slightly underweight but all else seemed fine. After about a week they were all released home.

Once they got home though Orit could see that Meytal was struggling to breathe.  She went to the doctors and they immediately sent her to the emergency care at the hospital. Since then little Meytal has been hospitalized and has to constantly receive oxygen. They still don’t know exactly what the problem is, they can see that her diaphragm is above her rib cage instead of being under and for that reason her little heart moved to the right side of her chest. They think one of the options will be to operate or there might be a paralysis in one of the cells in her diaphragm. Can you please keep precious Meytal in your prayers, on Sunday they will be checking her again.

Currently Orit is living with her parents and receiving income support from the National security. Orit’s mother is helping her with her second precious twin Sarit while Orit is in the hospital with Meytal.

Orit expressed her deep gratitude for all the support she has received. It really has made such a difference, and she is so very grateful.

Thank you so very  much for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Orit and her little family.
