Ruchama and Adi

Jun 25, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Ruchama is a young single mother with 3 children. She left home when she was 16 years old and has had one abotion in the past.

Ruchama was married to a muslim man but a few months before the birth of her youngest daughter she and her husband got divorced.

When Ruchama discovered she was pregnant she wanted to have an abortion due to all the presures around her. Her relationship with her ex husband was only getting worse and worse.  She had no support or contact with her family, apart from her mother, but this was very seldom.  She felt very lonely and couldn’t imagine bringing up another child all on her own.

Ruchama decided to talk to one of our wonderful counselors and as a result of this conversation she felt encouraged and empowered to choose life. She then knew that  she didn’t have to go through this by herself because we were happy to walk with her.

It was through your very generous sponsorship Ruchama was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her baby and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials that her baby would need.

On the 11th April 2019 Ruchama gave birth to a precious little girl. She called her Adi. The birth went well, it wasn’t easy but both mother and baby are healthy and well. Ruchama shared that Adi is such a sweet and special girl and everyone absolutely adores her.  Her  siblings have also welcomed her warmly into the family. Today Ruchama is so grateful that she was given the opportunity to choose life.

Ruchama is home with little Adi but in September she is planning to put her in daycare and find a job. Please pray she will be able to find a good, convenient and well paying job.

Ruchama is deeply grateful for all the love and support she has received during this time. Life isn’t easy for her but she seems strong and hopeful.

Thank you very  much for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Ruchama and her precious family.
