Sandy's Devotional

• By Sandy Shoshani

Sandy’s Devotional:

Psalm 138:7: “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.”

Psalm 118:5: “Out of my distress (a very narrow place)  I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me in a wide place.”

Isaiah 40:1,2: “Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.  Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.”

Psalm 31:7,8: “ I will be glad and rejoice in Your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.  You have not given me into the hands of the enemy but have set my feet in a spacious place .”

As we commemorate the third anniversary of the October 7th massacre and subsequent deaths and losses, we remember that God is faithful to the people of Israel.  God stretched out and still stretches out His hands to all who suffer and grieve.  The Scriptures are filled with tender words of love, mercy, and comfort; words of everlasting love and faithfulness; words of redemption and healing.  May the Loving Father comfort all those who mourn in Zion and draw our People closer to His heart.
