Shuli The Young 19 Year Old Arab Israeli Girl

Jun 25, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Shuli is a young 19 year old Arab Israeli girl.  She has 12 brothers and sisters. When Shuli was only 16 years old she ran away from home, started working and renting an apartment all by herself.  Shuli’s parents were very abusive and violent towards her and her siblings, and many of them were moved into boarding schools far away from home.

Shuli was in a relationship with a man and got pregnant when she was only 18 years old. Without any money or support, she couldn’t even imagine how she would be able to provide even the basic needs for her baby. One of Shuli’s friends told her about Be’ad Chaim.  She then spoke to one of our wonderful counselors who was able to reassure her that we were there to help and support her and she wasn’t alone. After this conversation Shuli decided to keep her baby. It was through your very generous sponsorship Shuli was able to become part of The Operation Moses Project. This provided her with new furniture for her baby and also monthly vouchers for a whole year to buy the other essentials that her baby would need.

On the 11th May 2019 Shuli gave birth to a precious little boy. She named him Shimi. Both him and Shuli have recovered and are doing well. Shimi’s father has accepted him as his son and asked Shuli if they can renew their relationship again. It seems as if they have had many problems in the past, so please pray if it is the right thing, that she will feel peace about this.

Shuli doesn’t want to go back to work but wants to be a stay home mom.   She is so excited about her beautiful son, all she wants to do is dedicate everything for him “He is my life” she said. Shuli doesn’t want her son to grow up like she did, so she will do all that she can to raise him and give him all the nurture and love and care she possibly can.

As a single mother Shuli will be applying to receive benefits from the national insurance.

Let us pray for the Lord to bring people around Shuli, to love and support her and accept her as she is.

Shuli is so deeply touched and grateful to have received help and support from people who don’t even know her. She said “You have genuinely helped me so much, thank you! The same way you helped me I want to be able to help other people in the future”.

Thank you very  much for your kind and generous support and for your continued prayers for Shuli and little Shimi.
