Idan & Adam

Jun 18, 2019 • By Be'ad Chaim

Tal’s  precious twins, Idan and Adam,  celebrated their 1st birthday on the 14th April 2019. When they were first born the doctors did not see any special problems, they both seemed healthy and well. Unfortunately later on they have discovered several problems. Both of the twins have problems with their sight. Their eye sight is poor, including a cylinder eye defect, they will always have to wear glasses.

Idan has problems with his development and he is being seen and followed up by a professional team to help him grow and develop.

One of them  has  water around their brain, they are still checking and monitoring this.  If it does get out of control surgery will be necessary to place a drain in.

Tal lives far away from her family and doesn’t have any help or support, she is having to go through all of this by herself. During this past year she started taking pills to help with her anxiety.  She has not had  time to receive any deeper help and counselling but she has already booked to see a professional in September, this is when the twins will start going to daycare. She is happy that she stayed home with them until now, but is really looking forward to having time to take care of herself.

Tal’s older daughter will be going to a first grade next september. She is struggling to sit still and concentrate so the doctors have recommended Tal give her Ritalin. She is still not sure whether this is the right thing to do.

Tal is hoping to take a little break during September and then start studying education.  It is on her heart to help other children with the same learning difficulties as her daughter.

Tal summed up this year as a year of blessings alongside many challenges. She sounds full of hope for the future. She was deeply grateful for all the help and support she has received in the past year.

Thank you so very much for enabling Tal to be part of the Operation Moses Project, and  for praying for her and her family throughout this year, it really meant so much to her, and she is very grateful indeed.
